Chef Geoff Kirkland has done it all! He's worked in large resorts, award winning fine dining institutions and small, intimate restaurants. Growing up in North York and working in restaurants all over Toronto, he has worked his way from the bottom up in a tough industry, holding every position from dishwasher to Chef. He received his formal education at Loyalist College where he graduated top of his class, competing in culinary competitions and receiving several awards along the way.
Having worked in all areas of the hospitality and services industries, Geoff has developed a keen appreciation of the customer experience and a passion for great food and drink. Most recently working at one of the gorgeous wineries of Prince Edward County, he also has an appreciation for the many great local wines Ontario has to offer, and is a vocal supporter of slow food and our local vendors. In fact, you can find him almost every Wednesday and Thursday mornings at the Peterborough and Lakefield Farmer's Markets, loading up with the week's bounty. Feel free to say hello!
Geoff has been enjoying the beauty of Stony Lake with his family for the past 13 years, and is happy to be returning to settle here with his wife Lesley and establish his own roots in the community.
